A Real Librarian, At Last

If you don’t know me very well, you might not understand the enormity of this statement. See, because of my professional experience and background, I’ve never felt like much of a librarian. Oh sure, I respect (and sometimes revere) this profession, but for the most part, I don’t take myself seriously, and I’m prone to frequent bouts of impostor syndrome.

So to say without any irony, snark, or reservations, that I can’t imagine working anywhere but a public library means that somewhere along the way, a huge shift took place. I barely even noticed it.

‘Scuse me. I’m feeling all of the feels.
