I don’t know if any other women feel this way, but I absolutely hate camera bags. I carry a messenger bag as a purse (yes, I know it’s butch) because during the week I have to take my MacBook (and its accessories) to work. On weekends, I carry a smaller travel bag (also worn messenger style), but one that is big enough to fit my wallet, a trade paper back, my phone, and a 20 oz bottle of water comfortably. With all of that, you can see how carrying a camera bag on top of all that kit might start to feel like a pain in the neck. Literally.
So when I heard about the Spider Holster, I was curious. The Spider Holster comes with a clip that you attach to your belt, and a ball-type joint that you screw into your camera’s tripod mount. You slide the camera into the well of the clip, and according to the designers, you can safely carry around a heavy camera and lens all day, leaving your hands and upper body free.
