Wednesday's Child

05.15.2009

I took a peek at Wolfram Alpha, the Computational Knowledge Engine, and while I can’t think of any use for it in my daily life, it’s still an interesting use of data gathering and manipulation. I entered my birth date and the city of my birth and came up with the following data:

  • I was born on a rainy Wednesday morning
  • It was approximately 17° C / 64°F when I was born
  • There were 12 hours, 17 minutes of daylight that day
  • The moon phase was waning crescent moon
  • It was the 262nd day of the year
  • The time difference between that date and the time I ran the data scan is 40 years, 7 months, and 27 days
