Can we elect Michelle (and Elizabeth) instead?

I’m not too crazy about her husband, but I have to admit that Michelle Obama is starting to become one of the most attractive things about a possible Obama presidency. It could be my emotions getting the better of me, but when I read a quote like this one, I can’t help but get giddy and starry-eyed:

We are confronted with the doubters. People who tells us what we can’t do. You’re not ready. You’re not good enough. You’re not smart enough. You’re too tall…Each and every one of you here has heard and felt those ceilings, somebody pushing you down, defining your limitations, who are you? You know damn well what you are capable of doing… This election is just as much about that as it is about change because the truth is there are millions of shining little lights just like me all over this country. Kids living in the shadows, being told by their own communities what they can and cannot do. This is an opportunity for all of us to send a different message to all those shining lights.

Yes, I know it’s straight out of the Oprah™ Handbook of Stock Inspirational Phrases, but I’ve been suffering a crisis of confidence and this hit me where I live, OK? I’m not made of stone.
