DIY Bookselling: what's it worth to you?

I have a question for the audience. As many of you know, I published a book through blurb, but unfortunately, blurb doesn’t have a system set up for international sellers. To get around that, I was thinking of ordering a run of 10 softcover books and trying to sell them through PayPal.
If I were to sell a (small) book of my work, would you be willing to order it through PayPal instead of ordering it through blurb?

Yes I think I would, based on the sample pages. I purchase through paypal all the time.

I would yes. I’ve actually been trying to buy your book from Blurb but I can’t seem to successfully do it. I don’t know if it hates my Mac or what but the shopping cart checkout process keeps crashing. So I’d be happy to buy it through PayPal instead.

You can’t actually buy it through Blurb at the moment because they don’t have a system set up to allow people from outside the US to sell the books (and make the profit). That’s why I’m thinking of selling on my own until they make the option possible.

Hi Cecily,
I found your site through thebrotherlove.com
have you heard of lulu.com? i don’t know too much about it, but it is the #1 self-publishing site–according to Alexa.com

Hi Dara, thanks for stopping by.
I hadn’t heard of lulu.com, but I’ll definitely check them out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Cannot buy?
But me wanty! If you can figure out how to get them done, make sure you tell my bear how to order one for me for Xmas. Message him via facebook or something. And think up other good things for him to get me- not the best gift shopper that boy.

I’d buy it.
