Colour by numbers – Xerox Corp. scientists are developing a new technology that will make adjusting colours in a document as easy as describing the colour. “Today, especially in the office environment, there are many non-experts who know how they would like color to appear but have no idea how to manipulate the color to get what they want. You shouldn’t have to be a color expert to make the sky a deeper blue or add a bit of yellow to a sunset.”
Prince Harry to serve in Iraq – Funny… I don’t see too many children of presidents, vice-presidents, senators, representatives, governors, or other elected politicians signing up for duty. As someone who was born in the United States, I always regarded the British Royal Family with a bit of a bemused detachment. My opinion changed very little after becoming a Canadian citizen, but Harry’s earned my respect.
The end of ‘desktop vs. web apps’ – Inessential.com’s Brent Simmons thinks that hybrid apps are the future: “Anyone who wants to do everything in just one desktop app, the browser, can, provided they don’t mind giving up protected memory and all that modern goodness. But most folks are going to make app-by-app decisions, and developers are going to try a whole bunch of different approaches.”

Guide to new ABCNews.com
-More media outlets (and corporations) should be as transparent as ABC News, and the NYTimes have been about their redesigns, and the processes involved when undertaking large-scale redesign/rebranding efforts. That being said, I preferred the old ABCNews.com interface to the new one, ‘citizen journalist’ improvements aside.
