The “Ow, my head!” edition…
I’ve been neglecting my inner geek over the last few years, but I think it’s high time I started to pay her some attention. To that end, I stumbled across MAMP, an application that allows you to install Apache, MySQL, and PHP on a Mac. Seeing MAMP made me question why installing it might be useful, which led me to Ben Bleikamp’s ridiculously easy to follow tutorial on how to setup WordPress locally on a Mac. Five minutes, tops.

I was previously dismissing MAMP and local-installs as something I didn’t need. Until I realized what I had on my personal-project plate, and, hey, this would rock. Thanks!
