How to keep a usability researcher happy

If you’d like to keep an in-house usability researcher happy, make sure her interview/contextual observations calendar always looks like this:

While this may not be particularly impressive to some in the UX game, this represents a year or more of constantly evangelizing UCD in my company, of beating the drum of “customer connected design” and how important it is to visit with clients as a part of our design efforts.

What’s even better? Next week promises to be even busier. The prospect of all those contextual inquiries makes me giddy. Giddy, I say!
